Practice Rules
Coach Availability
Swimming is different from other sports due to the safety concerns that are constantly present while swimmers are in the water. Our coaches' main focus during practice is to keep our kids safe and instruct them on swim techniques. Coaches are not able to talk to parents during practice.
If you need immediate assistant during practice our parent coordinators will be on site for communication. Please look for Sonia Allio (during Guppies & 7-10yr practice) or Libby McCutchen (during practice 10-18yr) to address any immediate concerns on the pool deck.
If you want to discuss your child's progress or behavior in the water, please email the Coach Supervisor at [email protected].
Tips for making the most of practice:
- Arrive a few minutes early
- Have your cap and goggles on before practice begins - we recommend Speedo, Arena, or TYR brand goggles for lap and competition purposes.
- Talk to your kids about the importance of listening
- Follow the coaches instructions to ensure all swimmers are safe and getting the most out of practices.
